His works are descendants of the process of synthesis of painting during the twentieth century (from the constructivists to De Stijl, from american Minimalism to the artists of Forma 1), and he finds an original contemporary dimension that is never trivially expressionistic nor sterilely abstract: his organic forms, which contain inlays of different colours and materials and always identify borders and membranes to protect a nucleus, seem like cellular corpuscles animated by an anxious joyfulness.
Vincenzo Frattini (1978) was born in Salerno, Italy. He lives and works between Turin and Campagna (Salerno). In 2006 he graduated in Painting at the Academy of fine arts in Naples, attending the experimental Quartapittura course of Ninì Sgambati culminating with an exhibition at the Lia Rumma gallery in Naples.
